The star is Ray Milland and it is directed by Fritz Lang. While this is considered a film noir, it is filmed in the style of Fritz Lang, with stylish imagery, very atmospheric, full of great movie moments.

The Third Man 1949 104 minutes
This is a true classic that bears watching over and over. Directed by Carol Reed, starring Orson Wells and recognized not only for the acting but also the musical score and cinematography. It was filmed on location in Vienna soon after WWII.

Strangers on a Train 1951 101 minutes
This film was produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, with the screenplay written by Raymond Chandler and Czenzi Ormonde. It received mixed reviews but has come to be considered one of the outstanding films of the film noir genre.
